Re: NYC to 200k
No one got spooked. CovingTTTon was like "raises for everyone but DC because the DC market is still at 160," and two hours later Hogan was like "LOL now it has CovingTTTon." Two hours after that CovingTTTon was like "Hogan is the DC market - matches for everyone."Anonymous User wrote:Last time they got spooked by CovingTTTonjd20132013 wrote:the DC firms are making themselves look pretty bad. didn't they do this last time?

Wilmer has to match now that Ropes and Goodwin did. Then DC will fall. Unless Hogan goes first.jd20132013 wrote:the DC firms are making themselves look pretty bad. didn't they do this last time?

Or Latham and/or GDC moving. Both have pretty big DC offices.Anonymous User wrote:Wilmer has to match now that Ropes and Goodwin did. Then DC will fall. Unless Hogan goes first.jd20132013 wrote:the DC firms are making themselves look pretty bad. didn't they do this last time?

Do DLA Piper, K&L Gates, and Reed Smith pay market? I thought those 3 (along with GT) did market or close for first years, and then salary compression after that.Anonymous User wrote:They'll all match by the end of next week.I have to imagine all these firms (maybe minus Greenberg based on that article) will match in the coming weeks?

In salaries yes (at least in big markets I think they do), in bonuses no. K&L Gates just had a 16% reduction in revenue - they ain't raisin shit.JusticeJackson wrote:Do DLA Piper, K&L Gates, and Reed Smith pay market? Latham and GDC actually trying to help them out by providing conversation starters for post firm receptions.Anonymous User wrote:Think of all the Yale/Columbia 2Ls making bid lists right now. They're all going to match but other than Wilmer, the others aren't going to come close to matching until Latham also matches.Anonymous User wrote:Wilmer has to match now that Ropes and Goodwin did. After Cov did its attempt at holding DC salaries down last year, it took another week before Hogan went to 180 and that was after quite a few other people had matched, and after Latham

Stacey Zaretsky... doesn't update tracker when TLS requests but spends time stealing from TLS like we owe her something.toast and bananas wrote:Did ATL literally just steal an "article" idea from that poster a page back?Anonymous User wrote:Yeah the biggest question marks here are Latham and GDC, wtf are they doing.Anonymous User wrote:MORE SHAMING LET'S GO https://abovethelaw.com/2018/06/looks-l ... -wealth/2/

Re: NYC to 200k
Surely these firms all know that they're going to have to match or look like assholes and find themselves at the bottom of T14 bidlists. Just bite the bullet already.

All of the TLS Yale/Columbia 2Ls should email recruiting at the firms that haven’t announced yet, inform recruiting that they’re currently working on bid lists, and ask if the firms plan to match.

Didn't WH also wait to match until Hogan matched? They have more lawyers in DC than in Boston.Anonymous User wrote:WH still took 4 days to match after Ropes though...Anonymous User wrote: They're all going to match but other than Wilmer, the others aren't going to come close to matching until Latham also matches.

Re: NYC to 200k
Hogan matched the same day that Ropes did, and a few days before Goodwin. Wilmer's website shows 347 in DC, 304 in Boston, and 193 in NY. But would not be surprised if they wait until next week.Anonymous User wrote:Didn't WH also wait to match until Hogan matched?
