Define "best"?

Best for a new grad to get a job at, or best for going to trial, or best for managing a massive case? They are different things.

From what my friends have told me, Susman Godfrey is the best.

Hogan Lovells might be a dark horse. Not Chambers ranked, but has some solid ex BB litigators and a smaller office / more junior responsibility.

McKool Smith has a good reputation in Texas. Not sure about their Houston office specifically.
