Top Law Schools

I know it's pretty routine to notify places you've applied to with a resume update in regards to grades, but what about for non-grade related updates? like receiving a new award, or getting a new position w/in an org, etc? like if it's not actually relating to grades, do employers even care enough about the other updates enough to warrant contacting them w/ an update?

(this isn't for SAs, either, just law-related summer internship position applications)
