Top Law Schools

Greetings TLS,

I am a fellow transfer student seeking advice on employment. After 1L I decided to transfer from a T3 school to a T2 in Los Angeles. Upon completing my first semester at my new school, I believe I rank (historically) in the Top 15-20% of my class. I have been mass e-mailing firms since the start of the new semester yet I'm still waiting to hear back from most of them.

Has anyone been in a similar position as me? Ideally, I would like to work Big Law upon graduating, but considering that the OCI wave has passed, I was hoping to hear some insight from fellow TLSers on moving forward (I've also been mass mailing mid to small size firms as well as in-house summer positions).

I am moving to the LA area after graduating from a DC law school and have been mass e-mailing mid-size and big law firms with no luck. I am hoping that I have better luck when I get to the area. But I am getting nervous because there does not seem to be many entry-level opportunities so far.
