Employer References

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Feb 07, 2018 7:02 pm

I just accepted a job offer contingent on a successful background and conflict check. The employer said they would be conducting a reference check, but didn’t ask for a list of references. Should I check in with HR at my previous employers? I have great relationships with my former supervisors, but less so with the head honcho at one previous employer. Thanks!

That may have been a boilerplate response from an uninformed HR person who does not realize that references were not requested or provided.
