Typo on Resume- Corrected by Prospective Employer- AM I F***ED?
After my interview, got an email from an admin person (not the interviewer) pointing out a typo and asking for a corrected resume. Does this mean I'm out?

Not worth stressing over. It's not GREAT but if the admin person took the time to email you and ask for a new version it might mean they didn't want to throw you under the bus by giving it to the final reviewer.Anonymous User wrote:After my interview, got an email from an admin person (not the interviewer) pointing out a typo and asking for a corrected resume. Think of it this way: If the employer would refuse to hire you based on a typo, why would they bother asking for a corrected resume?

Doesn't sound like an auto ding. After an OCI screener, partner left me a voice message offering a CB and pointed out a typo at the end. Went on CB and got an offer the next day.

Probably not, especially if the admin caught it before the hiring attorney looked at it. I've met some folks who get all bent out of shape about a typo. It's certainly not a good look to have a typo on the resume, but nobody except for the most tightass attorneys are gonna strike you out solely because of the typo.Anonymous User wrote: Does this mean I'm out?

Sounds to me like the admin person did you a solid.

I'd be embarrassed but thrilled if an admin person caught a typo and asked me for a corrected resume before my resume went out to every other attorney (other than the initial interviewer I suppose) for a callback or whatever.cfcm wrote:Sounds to me like the admin person did you a solid.

This means they likely saved you from the possibility of being auto-dinged by the actual interviewers. They could have just as easily (a) tossed your resume in the burn pile; or (b) shrug it off and let you take your chances with the typo.Anonymous User wrote:After my interview, got an email from an admin person (not the interviewer) pointing out a typo and asking for a corrected resume. They aren't making the hiring decisions once someone bothers to interview you.
