I want to convert a SAUSA position to a AUSA position.

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Nov 17, 2017 11:40 am

I am a current midlevel in v25 biglaw in DC. Graduated top 1/4 at a t30. Nothing else notable on my resume.

I'm starting a paid 2-year "special ausa" position in my home town (pay is about equal to my expected year end bonus lol) which is a tertiary market, think des moines/cleveland/sacramento/savannah. My end goal is to become an AUSA there.

Does anyone have any advice on how to translate an SAUSA gig into an AUSA gig? I know its very possible, but still hard to do. I also realize a lot just depends on just funding, whether a job opens up, etc. and I plan to give it 110% but I'm hoping for some concrete advice on making a plan for myself.

Advice?
