Hi,
Currently at a V-5 big law firm doing mainly cap markets and aiming at lateralling into the HK market. I learned that typical HK legal CVs look different than the classical 1-page US résumés and that they are usually 2 pages long or even longer. - Just wondering if anybody here has any HK application experience and would recommend using the standard US CV format (as I think the US teams there would be familiar) or whether I actually should be using a longer CV.
Also happy about any other Hong Kong market tips you may have.
Many thanks,

Re: Lateralling to Hong Kong
I don't have any experience with local firms but I got an offer from a US firm in HK - if it's a US firm they are used to US standards, will usually have US attorneys review your application etc. so using a US format is just fine. Good luck!

Use a recruiter. Really. They will help you put your best foot forward and negotiate the best moving package for you. If you're V5, you'll be fine.Anonymous User wrote:Hi,
