Very firm specific. 10 days to 2 weeks is probably common and what I've heard (when I've asked), but I've heard of firms having a much quicker turnaround (rarely longer than two weeks though)

I've heard a week a few times. Although I've heard people hearing back in even shorter of a time

I've heard a week a few times. Although I've heard people hearing back in even shorter of a time

I got one offer on the spot, but there are others where I anticipate I'll be waiting a week or two. I think a variety of factors come in including: how they make their decisions (and who--is it a committee or can one person make the call), market (NY moves quicker than others), office status (satellites probably move slower than HQs), timing of cb (super days/callbacks on the day after...who knows what that could slow down or speed up), etc.

Anyone know how possible it is to get a firm (preferably big law) job after the EIW process? Looking at only one CB right now and pretty nervous.

Same situation as you. I'm employing the strategy of massmailing every firm in every market I've ever had any connection to ever.

I got an offer about 1 month (yes, you read that correctly) after a CB last year. It was a smaller firm that is very particular about the number of people it hires. I assume someone turned them down and then they extended the offer to me.

just letting you guys know that not everything comes immediately. until you get that ding, you're still in the running. I know that's generic but I'm proof of it.

except screeners. I'm still anxiously waiting to hear about some CBs from firms I interviewed with at EIW last year.

Just in case anybody else here applied to Quinn Emanuel outside of EIW - callback earlier this week, offer today.

To echo what the previous poster said, no reason to be worrying about having no offers yet. Not quite as extreme an example, but I had a pre-EIW callback with another firm, didn't get an offer until 3 weeks later, and the partner who called me said he had been sitting with the offer for a week and just hadn't gotten around to calling. Lots of reasons why it might be taking a while. But if you are feeling worried, a productive thing to do is to start mass-mailing. Can't hurt.
