GW OCI 2017

Post by malignant_humor » Tue Aug 01, 2017 9:00 am

Given that the NY OCI day just wrapped up, figured I would start a thread.

Would love to hear when and where people get call backs/offers

Someone got same day CB from JD.

Most of my interviews are pretty blah. Couldn't really connect with interviewers. Don't know if that's because they aren't interested in me to begin with.

Hey this is probably your first time interviewing with big law firms, so it's ok to get some practice in and then crush the D.C. OCI's next week.

Anyways keep us posted would love to hear what happens!

Akin, JD, Morgan Lewis, and K&E have given callbacks.

Have the firms been calling back with both good and Bad news?

Or is that TLS post from a few years ago still true that call = good news, letter = bad news?

Firms do not call with bad news. Either you receive an email within the next few days, within 2 months, or never. Only Cahill has ever sent me an actual letter.

If you want a letter for funzies send a massmail to Williams & Connolly. They will reject you, and the rejection will arrive by mail

I fondly recall receiving my W&C and Cahill rejection letters. Nice paper; love the names of all partners listed on letterhead.

Also, still waiting on a post call back mcdermott rejection from two years ago (letter, email, or call)
