3.0, out-of-state, school ranked 30/40 moving to Dallas...possible?

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Jun 27, 2017 4:51 pm

Anonymous post because my situation could possibly out me to peers.

Rising 3L at a school ranked in the mid to upper 30s/40s (UGA/UNC/GMU/Wake Forest). GPA is quite low (3.0), but I am set on moving to Dallas. Definitely taking the Texas bar. All of my experience has been on the east coast. I have personal ties to Texas and managed to snag a summer associate position in Texas this summer. Any thoughts on how to break into the Dallas market for post-grad jobs? I'm interested in non-profit, government, and small/medium firms if possible.

Open to any suggestions! Thanks y'all.
