I don't think we are talking about the same firm. The firm's website looks pretty weird (like a college student's work) and it has a few associates.

....their website touts their ability to handle "Department of Sanitation tickets." This has to be a joke, right?

You can tell it's legit because all the lawyers wear GOLD nametags in their photos.

The website.. the picture of their office... the JFK quote on the wall.. looks like a Chinese scam setup tbh, looking to take 10k retainers and then disappear

Ting Shao, Esq. is pretty hot.

Old white men and exclusively young, Asian women associates is the most prestigious thing I've seen.

altho the website looks shitty, the main partner went to harvard law. second attorney went to fordham and was a partner for a big firm. to be honest, they do look really shitty but who knows - they may do good work?

In all seriousness, this is the worst attorney website I've ever seen. I'd be pretty leery of a firm that puts together something that shoddy. Also, they make some pretty outrageous claims, like "Our legal team is specialized in dealing with various criminal cases in all 50 states in the US." They only have like 5 lawyers so how could they possibly be "specialized" in dealing with criminal cases in all 50 states? Maybe they are competent attorneys, but the website certainly does not give that impression.

This is in no way a guarantee that the main (name?) partner is a good or successful lawyer.

For real, though, this is a scam. What law firm shares offices with a travel agency, an accounting firm, a real estate broker, and an insurance agency?

The photos on their "Professionals" page look like they were pulled either from a sex offender registry or a site about missing persons/victims of human trafficking.

That said, I heard that they "believe [they] are obligated to promptly provide [their] advice and judgment to every issue the clients are concerned to." Seems legit.

Op, this firm is actually not bad. Obviously not vault ranked but probably a good place to get experience as a junior.

I researched this firm, found this thread.

Got called in for a second interview, got offered a job, and against my better judgment, I accepted a job here.

Worst decision ever.
Lots of RED flags.

Here are just some of them:
1. Zero training or orientation.
2. No westlaw/Lexis Nexis/Bloomberg Law access. They legit tell you to 'google it'.
3. No letter/document templates
4. All employment contracts are purely in Chinese. When I asked for an English copy, they said they'd read the terms to me. I refused to sign it unless it was in English. They legit put the contract translation into 'Google Translate' and gave me a really poorly translated contract.
5. We have to eat lunch at our desk. At all times.
6. I worked 12 hour days. Monday through Saturday.
7. They pay you as an I.C.
8. They make you sign in and out of the office when you go to the restroom.
9. They don't have office chairs. . . The entire time you're working, you're sitting on folding picnic chairs.
10. The entire office support staff barely speaks English.
11. None of my higher ups or supervisors were NYS Bar admitted attorneys.
12. They make you stand up and bow to the Asian partners when they walk in the office every morning. (Yeah, I didn't do this because that's some weird shit and got spoken to several times in regards to it.)

Note that none of the above items were listed in the employment contract but the more I type about my experience, the more dumb I feel for staying more than my first initial day.
