I also had an interview a few weeks ago at the FCC. I know they checked references but nothing else.

When did they check references? One of mine was my current employer, who was never contacted.Anonymous User wrote:I also had an interview a few weeks ago at the FCC. I know they checked references but nothing else.

So my interview was 2/1 and they called one reference on 2/9 and another on 2/12. They haven't call the third one. This wait is tough.

Yeah, but I think they’re just falling behind in their process. They told me they’d have decisions the week of 2/5 after they completed reference checks. I’m not gonna worry til I get the email/letter saying no lol.Anonymous User wrote:So my interview was 2/1 and they called one reference on 2/9 and another on 2/12. They haven't call the third one. I know it takes time and that everyone goes through long waits and ups and downs in this process. I was fine until the interview process happened and now with a holiday weekend coming, I wish that they would just have a heart! haha

Received a qualified email from USACE seems like they are still in the process of qualifying/forwarding applicants to offices.

Does anyone know when the FCC made offers in previous years? It seems very late in the hiring cycle but I know two other people who interviewed and they also have not heard anything.Anonymous User wrote:I have not heard anything since I interviewed (6 weeks ago). I looked on the 2014-2015 thread. Interview invites were sent out via email early December, where interview invites were given via phone in January this cycle (or at least for me). Not sure when interviews happened, but offers were made the second week of February.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know when the FCC made offers in previous years? Nobody in the 2015-2016 thread had heard from the FCC after applying.

I can't speak about other years, of course. However, I asked one of my interviewers about it who had been through the process and he said that "heard back in March>" I had hoped that since I interviewed on Feb 1, that would not come to pass. I keep thinking that I will get a call or an email but perhaps it's a letter? Just frustrated about this entire process but still hoping for the best. It helps knowing that we are all waiting (or else we all were rejected!)

Has anyone heard from USACE district offices since being informed they qualified?

Do you know the purpose of the calls? I can't imagine why they would call candidates at this point in the hiring process other than to extend offers...Anonymous User wrote:I heard they made calls last week to some candidates but no offers were extended.Anonymous User wrote:Anybody heard from the FCC?
I sent a follow-up email to OGC but received an auto reply stating that the person was out of the office all week.

It wasn’t exactly clear from the conversation I had about the calls, but they said that they were close to making decisions I think.Anonymous User wrote:Do you know the purpose of the calls? I have not. Received an email in Mid-Feb confirming that I was still interested and had not accepted any other offers. Expected something further after that, but still nothing.Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone heard from USACE district offices since being informed they qualified?
I held off applying for any other jobs as this was my first choice, but have started interviewing for other positions. If I get an offer from one of the other agencies I am interested in before USACE, I may have to accept. Need employment for when my clerkship is over and can't wait all year for the districts to start making calls.

I applied to the FCC in 2015-2016. Interviews were in November and I got an offer in late December. I’m not on the hiring committee (and didn’t even know we were interviewing in February), but the last two years have been later.

USACE Folks,
Does anybody know how the district interview process works? Are we more than likely to get more than one district invite, and if we get an invite/offer, are the districts willing to wait for our consideration of other districts if we are still in the interview process? Just wondering how it works if you get an offer from one district, but have interviews in other districts upcoming where you would be more willing to be placed. If anyone has any insight on this process it would be appreciated!
