I don't think it's that surprising, actually. Last year there were 12 slots; this year there are 2. Those people might not be on here (or might not report).

OCIJ contacted another one of my references today as well. I am hoping this is a sign of an impending offer! :)

Have any OCIJ Honors Program Finalists received an offer yet? If so where?

Anyone else just staring at their phone today? I'd really like to get an offer soon so I can tell my relatives on Thanksgiving that yes, I'm still single, but at least I have a job.

 This is awesome. And yes I have been staring at my phone also. I really would love to have an offer before the weekend but I am not expecting much.

From Deana on Avue:

Asset Forf. Fellowship Met HIring Goals
Hi, all:

The Criminal Division's Asset Forfeiture Fellowship notified me that it has met its hiring goals. I've issued email notices to remaining candidates and am in the process of updating online.

Does anyone know if you have already been hired through the honors program for a 2 year position and reapplied this year for another department within the same agency if they would still check references before issuing an offer?

I wonder if Commercial Litigation Branch will notify us soon. I saw that a couple have already been contacted! I’m so nervous.

Comm Lit finalist here. Just curious about what anybody knows about CLB's reputation. Do attorneys leaving CLB have good exit opportunities down the road? Good reputation within DOJ? I think typically FedP and Appellate are the most "prestigious" but I don't know how it works after those two offices.

Congrats! Were you contacted by phone or did your status checker change? I’m just curious to know if I’m out of the running. I know some of my references were checked, but havent heard anything since. I heard their reputation is very strong and good exits options especially for partnership track due to the litigation experience!

Aside from the one person who said they got an offer, has anyone else been designated a finalist for CRM Trial?

I am the other individual who received an offer from Comm Lit and will likely be accepting. We should connect! and Congrats!
