You can also contact the firms themselves and ask if they'll put you in contact

Re: GULC EIW 2017
Buckiguy_sucks has the better idea after offers come out. I would always ask firms for people who were recently chosing between my firm options or in my desired practice group, and found it very helpful.Anonymous User wrote:They asked us (current SAs) if we'd willing to be on a list with contact info and firm, so I think at the very least, they can put you in touch with someone.Anonymous User wrote:Is OCS any good with helping students decide on choices or connecting with the recent GULC S.A.s if they need more info to choose b/w a few diffn't firms after EIW?
3Ls who were former SAs can be helpful because they may be slightly less biased (at least I tried to be when I was meeting with 2Ls last year), but you're definitely going to get better info from actual attorneys.

Not digging how when you try to sign up for an interview that creates a time conflict, you can't just drop the old one and sign up for the new one all in one click.
Having it be two separate steps (drop the old interview FIRST, then try to sign up for the new IF it's still available 10 seconds later) really sucks.

I have an interview with them as well and I have no idea what you are talking about. It isn't requested on symplicity. Did you get an email requesting this?student4714 wrote:anyone with a Willkie Farr interview have any idea what the "application form" it states to bring with you to the interview is

I see it on simplicity on the right in the "materials to bring" in the bid details section. I got there not by clicking "schedule" but review posting11law01 wrote:I have an interview with them as well and I have no idea what you are talking about. It isn't requested on symplicity. Are we expected to go to the hospitality suites of firms that we already have screeners with, or are the hospitality suites more of a "I didn't get an interview, but I'm still interested" sort of thing?

BigLaw attorney and GULC alumn here. It's a good idea to go to the suites of the firms you have serious interest in, even if you already have screeners with them. Their recruiting teams will be there, and they will note down that you stopped by the suite, and it is a benefit to you to do so. You can go either before or after your screener interview.ChristineBaskets wrote:Are we expected to go to the hospitality suites of firms that we already have screeners with, or are the hospitality suites more of a "I didn't get an interview, but I'm still interested" sort of thing?
Say something along the lines of "Hi, I had an interview with ___, really enjoyed it, adn was interetsed in learning more about the firm. Are there other attorneys around I can chat with?" and then ask a few good questions, try and make a good impression. It will help. Thank the recruiting folks on the way out again, and mention again who you interviewed with and how much you enjoyed it and are looking forward to hearing back from them.
Suites are also a good opportunity to get interview slots with firms you did not win the lottery with. Be sure to have a copy of your resume with you.

Emails from firms that have some sort of waitlist and scheduling side interviews on the same day. curious. why don't they just let OCS know to put more slots up from add/drop or open sign up if they could've done it in the first place?

Probably because they get to choose all of the people they interview with on the side as opposed to subjecting themselves to the 2/3rds lottery-style EIW process.Anonymous User wrote:Emails from firms that have some sort of waitlist and scheduling side interviews on the same day. curious. why don't they just let OCS know to put more slots up from add/drop or open sign up if they could've done it in the first place?
