mass mail, where you send your materials to their recruiter directly. It's pretty unlikely they'll give you another screener if they've already screened you and dinged you I would think though.Anonymous User wrote:What is an MM application?

Re: UVA Law OGI 2017
I have received these or heard of others receiving them:
King & Spalding, Atlanta, CB
Jones Day, Atlanta, CB
Baker Hostetler, Atlanta, CB
Alston & Bird, Atlanta, CB
Vinson & Elkins, Dallas, CB
Weil Gotshal, Dallas, CB
Norton Rose, Dallas, CB
Kirkland & Ellis, Houston, CB
I do not know if any of these are finished with callbacks. I only know that either I have received a callback or someone I know told me that they received a callback.
If you are looking at the Atlanta or Texas markets, I think that many firms are still making callback decisions.

They may offer you a job on the spot. You might get one three months later.

Yes. Some firms do on the spot offers (S&C did up until recently). Most firms will hold onto marginal candidates to see if they have a spot for them once more of the candidate pool shakes out, people decline extended offers, etc. They know how many people they want and try to do their best to balance offering people they really want early and not taking in a class too large for them to handle. Until you have an offer or rejection in hand, no news is neither. Treat it as such.Anonymous User wrote:For serious?Anonymous User wrote:They may offer you a job on the spot. Hope all you guys remain unscathed after yesterday. Charlottesville as a college town is far too beautiful for that kind of scene.
