I feel the same way, man. My friend at a T30ish school who scored 163 in the LSATs is on law review at his school and made it to a V10 firm. Can't believe I'm here at sticker and no offer from biglaw.

And if you'd gone to a T30ish school and not made law review, you'd be in a much worse place today.

Your friend was lucky. Meanwhile, you get to do some extra work, but UVA opens doors. Trust me, I've been there and done that.

Wow, that's a pretty rough go around. I don't mean to be rude, but what do you think happened? Only bid DC? Niche practice group interest? I ask because I know a couple below-median, non-diverse people who were choosing between several V50 firms in major markets.

Personally I found it surprising how idiosyncratic the whole process was. Didn't click with the OGI interviewer despite networking your heart out at a firm and having the grades? Oh well.
