Mismatched belt and shoe color = no offer.
Shirt tucked into underwear = no offer.
Puff vest because the office is cold = no offer.

Seriously though the annoying part is that they have us first years try to match up Summers with their potential TLS accounts and other social media searches.
I do not have time for this right now

Seriously, though, what's the bare minimum for number of suits?
If you are at a biz casual firm, I'd say two, though you can probably get away with one.
Is it okay if everything is in one color (baby blue)?
I got my offers with a light blue suit. I think you're fine.
+1 to getting offers with light blue suit

What the? Are you summering as a law clerk or as the building security guard?

This was the best thing ever last summer. Prolly gonna snap 2 more pairs before I graduate.
Wat? Asking for myself.
Also never heard of AE discount... how much is it?
edit: looked it up, 25%
Great shoes. And a great discount.
If you're willing to go the extra mile, get Alden shoes.
When I bought em they did $350 for shoes, matching belt, and trees
This is the deal I was referring to. FWIW, you can also get great used pairs off ebay. Worn bottoms, but still very nice (~$100 or so, generally). I digress from my fashion advice... enjoy your summer y'all.

As a summer I always imagined the associates hearing all sorts of hilarious stories about the stupid things summers were doing.
Now that I'm a real lawyer, I beg of you summers - do not disappoint me. I've been waiting for this.

Who tf wears a only a dress shirt. The sports coat is not the uncomfortable part. It's the damn dress shirt. Of course, a lot of this depends on the firm. And I should have clarified. The dress is "business casual" for Friday. And I agree with the black suit notion. I find them repugnant, but if dry cleaning becomes an issue, I doubt one will be cast away for wearing a black suit. I haven't, but it's not even May yet. I see no need to know parking information a month in advance.

Firm where I worked handed out puff vests with the firm logo. People wear them all the time

Ugh then we have to go to our secondary test items which is looking for identifying markers of each suit to get a count of unique suits and at that point we're not in a good mood. Although you can ameliorate this by just loudly discussing how difficult it is to get all your suits properly dry cleaned and if only you had 2 or 3 suits instead of the large number you actually do

You won.
FWIW I think they still do that in stores. At least they were still doing it in December.
Yeah it's the student discount and I think it's offered all the time. I'll be buying all the shoes I'll need for a decade before graduating.

How often do you conduct sniff tests to make sure summers are properly using shoe trees?

No just email your recruitment people several times and also any attorneys you met during your interview process. They love that because it shows you're on top of things and detail-oriented!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
