I thought it might be that, because I interviewed for a firm in a secondary market and my school's OCI with that firm was today. But then I heard yesterday I got a callback, so I honestly have no idea. The uncertainty is awful though.Anonymous User wrote:Is Loyola normally this slow? Or is it because so many schools have OCI this week that they might be waiting to do them all at once?

Was asked to provide list of references for Covington that I never provided since I have no interest any more. That's pretty much the only DC movement I've had

Covington is really big on calling every reference too. I'm not sure of any other firms that take it so seriously.Anonymous User wrote:Was asked to provide list of references for Covington that I never provided since I have no interest any more. That's pretty much the only DC movement I've had
For what it's worth, DC is a competitive legal market - tons of people want to be there, but the class sizes are usually pretty small. They tend to move slower than NYC firms too. I wouldn't get too shaken up about not hearing from them yet.

Sidley NY cb earlier today. It is indeed pretty slow turnaround for a NY office. Maybe they were evaluating candidates from both OCIs and Loyola before they made decisions.

Re: 2017 PLIP
I interviewed at 2017 PLIP. 14 pre-selects and 2 alt that turned into actual interviews. But, I have only heard back from two firms. One firm invited me to come for an all day interview next week and another firm kindly said no thank you. But, I still haven't heard from my number one choice. Has any one who interviewed with the following firms gotten a call back request or a rejection? I just want to know if they are still making up their minds or should I just be waiting for a rejection email....

Re: 2017 PLIP
Among the firms listed above, I only interviewed with Fish and haven't heard anything. I interviewed with 11 firms in total at PLIP, 3 cbs, 3 rejs (PH, Knobbe and APKS), 5 radio silence. Would really love to know whether anyone has heard from Wilson Sonsini or Cooley after a screener at PLIP.meshoema wrote:I interviewed at 2017 PLIP. 14 pre-selects and 2 alt that turned into actual interviews. Callback phone call yesterday around 3PM EST with Hughes Hubbard & Reed, but no email sent yet (I may have to call to see what went on). Sadly I got the email while at the airport leaving NYC from Fitzpatrick Cella
