Heh. I think if you haven't heard a certain ding you're still in the running.

Considering some people have been dinged for places I have yet to hear from, I think it's still a live possibility (no matter how unlikely).

Is anyone else concerned by the lack of movement by some of the major players lately? I haven't heard anyone say a single thing about Fish, Knobbe, or even Brinks yet. Except for the 1 ding from Fish I guess but nothing good at least.

Have not heard any news from Knobbe, besides earlier post. One boutique I haven't heard from is Banner Witcoff.

Know of several CBs (myself included) from Fish Offices in ATL, DC, MSP, BOS, and SD (at least 1/each, sometimes more). Not sure about the others.

Know of several CBs (myself included) at Brinks Gilson.

Otherwise, most other big players in Chicago/Midwest including K&E, SA, W&S, MWE, J&B, MB seemed to have made first round of cuts & callbacks.

radio silence from knobbe and fish. Friend got a Fish ding, which is why im surprised I haven't heard anything

Is it odd to not have heard from six firms? Out of seven interviews? I imagine they're all dings, but why wait so long?

It's not necessarily odd, it's just the way this process can go. They might be dings, or they might be waiting on this hectic process to play out before they make a final decision on you because they think you're a maybe that could turn to a yes if they don't get the candidates they need.

Until you get the ding, don't assume it's a ding. It just means you're not a yes or a no yet.

ETA: This is as someone who hasn't heard from 2/3 of the interviews I had at PLIP
