More job options down the line - it opens a lot of doors.

Opportunity to do high level work (though you can also get this elsewhere, not just in biglaw).

You can afford the anti-depressants the job caused you to need.

The biggest positive, other than loan money, is learning that this sort of work > everything lifestyle is definitely not for me and to chill with the ambitious get rich professions and concentrate on just building a better, happier life

Any other job that comes after it seems much easier and much less stressful.

My parents friends are impressed by the local billboard attorneys who went to Stetson. They've never heard of the firm I work for.

This. Not necessarily feeling like the dumbest person around. But the level of competency among co-workers at my law firm is the highest I have ever had. And I worked several professional before law school and then worked at other places during law school that just had some lazy and/or dumb people. Not the case at my big law firm.

I also like the occasional opportunity to use the firm perks like sporting events when partners can't go with clients. Otherwise it is mostly the salary

I'm sure they'd be impressed if they knew how much you made.

Yeah I hear those torts lawyers make a killing. There's a reason why they're reviled as "ambulance chasers."

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
