Does anyone know the starting Detroit associate salaries for:
Honigman
Miller Canfield
Dickinson Wright
Dykema
Clark Hill
Pepper Hamilton
Bodman
Warner Norcross
Varnum
Kerr Russel
I understand salaries have changed with New York going up to 180k so the NALP data may not be accurate.

Interested also. Also, anyone have an experience lateraling to MI firms? Thinking of doing so in the next few years (MI is home state and wife's family is there.)

Bodman - 105k
Warner Norcross - 110k-120k
Varnum - 110k-120k
Kerr Russel (?) didn't talk to them during Mass mail/oci so no clue.

Foley - 160k as of next month
Jones Day: 160k
Gunderson Dettmer (ann arbor) - 180k (no associates as of last year.)

Not speaking specifically to my firm, but from what I've seen in the area generally, laterals are mostly looks like those who have connections in the city and/or are coming for a specific reason. Those from outside the city tend to come from BigLaw in Chicago/NY/LA/Boston/DC type of cities but there are some from other areas as well.

I think it's practice specific. I have friends who work there who love it, and I know people who left who hated it - pretty much what you get at any law firm. Really it's all about the people. I've never met anyone from there which I hate so I can't say for certain.

Summer Associates actually heard before I did as an incoming 1st year (while I was studying for the bar). Also, just knowing the culture at H I'm skeptical it went to 150 base rather than the range of say 120-150 especially given the recent attrition/turnover they've seen in the past year or so.

My close friend is an incoming associate. Base for 1st year is 150k. Are you looking for paystubs or offer letter as evidence?

Haven't posted here yet, incoming SA at a firm in MI.
This Honigman raise has been an illusive topic since like September. I don't know what to think. It wasn't mentioned in their SA recruitment. If it was happening, I think it should of been because it would have helped H be a LOT more competitive compared to national firms in MI. Just my two cents FWIW.

Jones day is black box; I've heard from a classmate Foley has a base bonus of 5-10% of salary if you hit the minimum hours (I think 1900-1950) then bonus upward of 20-40% of salary, so for a first year making 160k that's a bonus from 8k to 64k, based on other hourly thresholds. Not sure about the other Detroit firms though
