SEC Chair's Attorney Honors Program
Seeing as how the posting just closed for current law clerks, I thought I would make a post and see if any other current law clerks applied?
Anyone have any idea as far as timeline, going forward now, works? Any idea of how many openings they might have?

I applied and recently moved from "received" to "reviewed" but no decision yet. I am not a clerk, but a 3L. Seems as though the process might start moving along now.

+1. I'm not sure if it's the end of the road for the SEC. I was under the impression "Referred" is the goal.Anonymous User wrote:I applied and recently moved from "received" to "reviewed" but no decision yet. I am not a clerk, but a 3L. Seems as though the process might start moving along now.

I think reviewed status without a "thanks, but no thanks" or "referred" email means they haven't made any decisions yet... perhaps they just pulled all the apps today and will make some initial decisions next week. Hopefully. Best of luck!

Re: SEC Chair's Attorney Honors Program
To the extent it is helpful, I just recently got the email that said I was cleared as eligible for the position a couple days ago. You know, the "eligible for specialty and grade" email. So, if people are still being cleared for eligibility, I don't know what that says about the overall state of everyone's review.

Did you guys apply to the current clerk posting, or the 3L/future clerk position?

Looks like some offers were already sent out (and accepted). Preference apparently given to those who previously summered at the SEC or are current clerks.

Source? They had just sent eligibility last week so seems odd the different divisions already reviewed information, interviewed candidates, selected the ones they wanted, and offered all within a few days. Even for private sector that would be moving fast.Anonymous User wrote:Looks like some offers were already sent out (and accepted). Someone in another thread said they got an email yesterday setting up a phone interview for next week. I highly doubt anyone has actually been interviewed or received offers yet. I imagine that your classmate likely simply received an email for an interview.

Let's go back to just posting firsthand knowledge. If anyone gets an interview, or an offer, feel free to post it here.

Just by virtue of what's been posted on various boards, it sounds like enforcement has made some initial moves (like some scheduled interviews), but quiet beyond that

Re: SEC Chair's Attorney Honors Program
This was my feeling as well–enforcement seems to be the only one making a move thus far. Anyone feel courageous enough to call for a status check on the other divisions?Anonymous User wrote:Just by virtue of what's been posted on various boards, it sounds like enforcement has made some initial moves (like some scheduled interviews), but quiet beyond that

Re: SEC Chair's Attorney Honors Program
FYI I had a phone interview last week and was just contacted to set up an in-person interview next week. No idea on the status of offers, but I can confirm that the SEC is at least still interviewing

Congrats! What division? Care to share any stats? Are you currently a 3L? Are you a veteran?Anonymous User wrote:FYI I had a phone interview last week and was just contacted to set up an in-person interview next week. As of 11/16, Enforcement is still conducting in-person interviews. Not sure on other divisions
