IP boutique (~20 atty), secondary market, 120K starting, ~1800 billables. Compensation structure is little complicated but the mid-levels and seniors probably pull closer to 150-180K.

Fully paid individual health, extra for family and dental I think. Practice is healthy mix of perhaps 20-30% patent prosecution, 50% patent and trademark litigation (each of which of course blows up to take your whole time when its busy) and some copyright as well. And the rest is various investigations and other relatively small matters.

Is there any coherence to the mid size salaries in New York? Any way to know if a place is "market"?

Curious, anyone knows what salary is like at covenant review and the like. Feel free to pm me if you would not want to share publicly. They seem to have a lot of experienced biglaw people.

JD+LLM. Yeah, I know it's low, but my SO is there for the foreseeable future. Plus COL is really low.

Hours are usually ~50/week in the office and occasional evening work from home/weekend work (maybe one Saturday/mo).

I have no accounting background (although my undergraduate degree is technically a business degree).

That's insanely low. Didn't know IP pros was that bad these days.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
