Cravath does give an umbrella and a flimsy tote, but Kirkland's umbrella is better and I got it post-screener.

Mayer Brown gave out a portable USB power bank at the callback that I've found pretty useful so far.

Re: Who has the best offer swag
I feel like they’re spreading the swag out in recent years, so that it’s not super fancy stuff just at offers, but mildly fancy stuff throughout the process.... I’ve gotten stuff from firm receptions and screeners that were just as good as the offer swag I’ve gotten/I’m seeing here (for reference, Weil gave milkbar truffles at screeners as well, and I’ve gotten swell bottles, portable chargers, outlet adapters, and headphones from receptions......and a heavy-duty portable battery from one offer, nothing from others).
Not that I’m complaining, mind you. The more spread out, the more swag potential. Just noticing a trend.

Do you think this is a sign of S&C having financial issues? That's the only reason I can think of as to why they'd stop with the bonsais.Anonymous User wrote:They no longer mail bonsais as of a year or two ago. First they came for the bonsais....

Obviously a joke, but just to be super clear to the rising 2Ls on the board: S&C owns its NY HQ (and rents out part of the building to other tenants, including the ACLU).Anonymous User wrote:I heard through the grapevine that S&C is is struggling to make rent on its New York office.

Have not heard any rumors of financial issues. Partnership did not hesitate to match Milbank/Simpson/Cravath this summer.

Not sure. I accepted pretty shortly after the offer was extended (next business day) so it's possible it's an acceptance gift.Anonymous User wrote:Is that only if you accept? :’(Anonymous User wrote:APKS: Fjallraven Kanken backpack. I wish they included some of their rice crispies treats with it.

Reupping this because why not. With firms saving money on all of the usual costs associated with recruiting, have any stepped up in the swag department?

A Hogan offer comes with a “Hogan Lovells branded item.” You input the code you received and order it to be shipped to your home, but it doesn’t say what it is. How mysterious...

Cravath gives a giant box of food, which far exceeds the 2 bags of candy the Sugarwish firms give you.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 6:38 pmReupping this because why not. I didn't get either of those things. But maybe it depends on the office.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 1:14 amsomeone told me gibson gives out airpods or coffee machine this year for offer acceptance, is that true???

Re: Who has the best offer swag
All I can think of is how much money firms saved this year on not flying people out for interviews, not doing offer dinners, not doing holiday parties, not doing summer 2020 events for SAs, etc.
In terms of swag, most of the firms I’ve gotten offers from (NY, V5/V10) have sent food, a few have sent water bottles and things of that nature. Does anyone know if more swag arrives after you accept the offer?

Debevoise hooked it up with a Camelbak coffee tumbler/thermos thing. Apparently they are sending another gift post-acceptance.

I wonder how much of this will stay. Several recruiters/partners I talked with LOVE this format as it saves so much time/money.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 9:33 amAll I can think of is how much money firms saved this year on not flying people out for interviews, not doing offer dinners, not doing holiday parties, not doing summer 2020 events for SAs, etc.
