I haven't seen this posted on TLS before, but it seems useful. You can probably find past-year's data on the site, too. And since it lists salary, it means figuring out the year-level for any NYC lockstep firm is easy.

especially if you've already received an offer, why wouldn't you just ask them what their approach to visas are? i summered at a V5 and asked them how my immigration status was going to be handled, and got a positive confirmation. these firms, especially those with international offices, have full-time specialists to work on these issues. i was also absolutely upfront with my visa requirements going into the process and got offers at every firm I took callbacks with (6 V10s). it's a non-issue at that tier of law firm.

Of a more immediate concern should be what a firm does to its non-citizen/non-PR attorney in the event that the H-1B lottery does not work out. When recruiting, firms usually say that they will try to staff you at an overseas office; some do stand by their words and go considerable lengths to place you somewhere, but others will simply let you go citing a lack of need at those foreign locations. And Vault ranking/prestige does not seem to be a necessarily accurate predictor for how a firm will behave in such a case.

A Korean friend from Debevois New York office who didn't get the H1B lottery was let go unfortunately even though Debevois had offices in Asia. This happened in 2014, so practices may have changed since then.
