Perkins just moves really slowly. It took something like 3 weeks to convert my verbal offer into a written offer.

If you go back to previous years in this thread it seems that post-CB you get dinged by phone calls.

Come on, Perkins. You're delaying the whole market. I'm sitting on an offer at a mid-sized firm but can't get Perkins to let me know one way or the other.

Realistically they've probably sent out all of their offers and are just keeping us on reserve in case someone turns them down.

Had my CB 4 weeks ago too, haven't heard anything. Not sure if I should send a follow up email expressing my undying love for the firm.

I think there is nothing wrong with sending an email to check in and briefly reiterate your interest. Make sure to say something like "I am very interested in working for Perkins Coie and I look forward to hearing back from you" instead of something boombox-outside-of-the-window-y.

It won't change your chances, but it might let you find out about a ding more quickly than a letter.

Post-CB rejection from PC recently. I knew it was coming after I heard nothing for ~4 weeks, but it still stung. T6, top third-ish, Law Review.

It looks like I'm going to accept an SA position at a small, relatively less-well-known firm in Seattle (I won't say which because they're only taking one summer). Assuming I do well next summer and everything and get a permanent offer, would there be a possibility of moving into Seattle Biglaw after a couple of years? Or am I kind of doomed? I had really wanted DWT or K&L but my grades aren't perfect so I am probably lucky to have anything in the city at all. But I don't know if I'm ready to give up the Biglaw dream. Medianish at East Coast T14, fwiw.

Update: 100% strikeout in Seattle; applied to literally every single firm; got 3 CBs, dings from all. I had very strong ties as well. I'm at a T14 and didn't do well at OCI, but just recently landed an SA offer (deciding between SF and east coast), so everything panned out. Love Seattle and it was my goal to work there, but hey, I literally did everything I could...Everything.

Laterling after a year or two will be my focus.

For people still waiting (are you out there?): just emailed Foster and their summer class is full.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
