Recently unemployed Dewey SA. Now that my summer ended it before it started, I'm looking at 3L OCI as one of my avenues. I know it's bad. Do many firms continue to sign up for 3L OCI during the summer? I'm at a T-14 and our OCI is in mid-August. So far we have TWO non-IP New York firms signed up for 3L. Ugh.

My condolences--I can't believe Dewey dumped their SA's like that.

Sorry man. That sucks. Good luck at 3L LOLCI. I'm at MVP and I heard it was basically a joke unless you were on LR and in the top 10%.

That's a pretty brutal situation dude, so I feel for you.

If I were you, I wouldn't be counting on 3L OCI. Rather, I'd be networking my ass off and asking career services to give you the contact info of every single alum who's ever offered to help out students. I imagine that people are generally going to be very sympathetic to your situation and eager to do anything that they can to help. You need to get your story out there to as many people as possible.

Page 2 of today's ATL post suggests DLA Piper might still be able to take you on for this summer.
