Is akerman still at 160 for first years?
Also, is there are specific firm(s) that have connections with the USAO? I know H&K has ferrer but unaware of other shops I should be looking at if interested in S.D.Fl.

Re: #1 Gig in Miami?
I don’t think GT did. Akerman has weird pay depending on city and practice, but I think they bumped it 10k-25k for top end of raises, so I’m assuming starting is 170k in Miami now. I work at Akerman and I know that a few people were extremely unhappy with their market adjustments.Anonymous User wrote:Have the Florida firms matched HK at 180 yet?
Also, don’t be fooled by the 180k from HK. My friend got an offer there and for a third year, they were offered 195k.

Not surprising. I think the comp is still pretty black box at HK, so it may not be as compressed for some people/practice groups. Another data point. I heard of a seventh year getting offered $245k.Anonymous User wrote:Interesting... I was offered as a second year and am getting $190k.Anonymous User wrote:I don’t think GT did.
