First Round Over - Help determine the winners

Post by Ken » Thu Sep 17, 2009 2:32 am

Dear TLS Members,

There have been several extraordinary articles that were submitted to the TLS Content Competition. The first round is now over. I would like any feedback on what people feel is 1) the best article and 2) the other top 2, and 3) any others that were quite good. All feedback will go to help me determine the winners.

Everyone who submitted an article will get at least $50 as all of the articles were excellent and prize worthy. Thanks to everyone for making TLS a better place!

Best,

Ken

Does this mean that there is a second round? If so, when does it begin and end? Will similar prizes be offered?

My vote for best overall goes to YCRevolution's Guide to Law School Prediction Calculators. It really makes sense out of somewhat dubious internet resources.

1)Best overall=Arrow's Post "Tips for Succeeding in Law School."
Bonus points to him because he is a really nice guy and very helpful if you PM him.
2) Preparing for the Patent Bar

I'm going for the "Negotiating merit-aid" article. Yes I did participate a bit, which may make me sound biased, but the reasons I graphed some stuff for the guys was that I thought it was a great effort at tackling a very important but less well known part of this process.

Also, I'd like to see YCRevolution get some compensation for his work. I don't know what the licensing deal is, but his LSP and himself are great assets to this community.

+1 YCRevolution on LSP. Hands down.
+1 on transfer article :) It answered a lot of questions that peeps had about transfer. Also that sort of info may be really hard to find/conslidate.
Also the article about schollys/t14s those graphs are amazing.

Thanks for your posts, I am still working on winners. Everyone's posts are great. YC has so many amazing articles that have definitely contributed to TLS, so that certainly needs to be rewarded in one way or another. Back soon with the final results, but I welcome any more feedback until then. Cheers,

Ken
