Future Iowans help!

Anyone have an opinion: Iowa (free) v. GW (a little $, but still way more expensive)?

Do you think a degree from Iowa will have pull in DC?

I'd tend to think that Iowa wouldn't hold up to the ginormous competition from DC area and national schools that send grads to DC every year. That would be my opinion. I'd think Iowa would give you a better shot in larger Midwest centers, even Chicago, over DC.

Confused is right. If you definitely want to without a doubt live in DC, you'll almost always benefit from going to a regional school. If what you want is a fantastic legal education and the ability to take the job you want out of law school (e.g., maybe you discover an interest in something other than big law firms), you'll do well with a debt-free Iowa degree.
