It's official--just accepted my new $$ offer, and sent a $1000 check to Newton. I will be the nerdy girl with glasses sitting in the back of class....oh wait....that'll be a lot of us ;) I'm super psyched even though it was hard to let go of my other seat (full ride), and glad that it is all settled (FINALLY). The irony is that my high school was the B.C. Eagles too (bethlehem central--clearly a rip off :) ), so it's all coming full circle.

sentinal--its about middle of the road in terms of start times. some schools start as late as Sept 8th, some as early as Aug 21st. Later is better tho for Boston--its a bit sticky during August :)

eh, I'm mixed about it. It gives me more time to work and earn a little extra $$, but then at the same time that means I have to be at work longer, yuck.

I'm happy about it -- more time to enjoy our last "free" summer, after all!

Hi guys,

I got off the WL at another school in my hometown, so I think I will attend there.

Does anyone know anything about registering for classes? My fiancee is starting at the ed school in the fall and they've already had him register online. Do we have to register online too, or is that something they will let us know about later in the summer? I know we have little choice in courses our first year, so I'm wondering if they just register for us?

For those worried about the winters... they are not that terrible! I have lived here for almost three years now and though there is a lot of snow, it seems like we only get one or two weeks a year where it is extremely cold (i.e. below 10 degrees). However, I grew up in Connecticut so maybe I'm just used to this weather...

Is anyone else already in the Boston area? If so, any interest in meeting up for coffee or tea at some point?

I haven't heard anything about registering, just that they will let us know what section we are in and give us a book list. To me, that sounds like they will register for us.

I'll be in Boston at the beginning of next week (monday/tuesday) if you want to grab a social beverage (I'm in RI for the summer). Where in Boston are you? I'm in West Roxbury.

BC has been very silent for awhile now. I never even received confirmation on my second deposit, but I assume they received it because my AGORA account has expanded to a full account with a BC email address. Anyway, I know that they are sending a mailing sometime in June to permanent addresses, so I'm hoping that clears up a lot of questions I have--if not I'll try to get them answered at the housing fair next week.

That's what I heard too. I think we get one elective in the second semester, but the first is planned out for us. I'm guessing we don't have to register for the elective for a while.

I'm not up there yet, but whenever it gets closer to class starting I think we should plan a happy hour or something. That way we can meet each other before we get stuck in out sections.

We should definitely plan something. Maybe sometime mid to late August? Will people be here by then?

I probably won't be moving to Boston until sometime after the 15th, so I'd say late August, maybe the week before classes start.
