Possibly, torn between Rutgers and Penn State. Also torn between waiting another year so I can score where I practice..... You are definitely going to Rutgers?

Almost definitely. I'm still waiting to hear from a super-reach, but there's pretty much no chance of an acceptance there. Rutgers is an ideal choice for me because I'm in-state, got a scholarship, want to work in New Jersey or New York City, parents are a 45 minute train ride away in central Jersey, and my twin sis and other people I know will be 15-20 mins away in NYC. I figure Rutgers' reputation will give me great job opportunities in NJ, and its proximity to NYC will also give me good opps there, if I do well enough at Rutgers.

I'm also almost definite, for very similar reasons.

Looks like you can count me in at Rutgers-Newark for next year, although since I'll be part-time I'm technically Class of 2013, I think.

162/3.1 Rutgers Newark accepted me very quickly and offered me 8,000 a year. I've also gotten into Seton Hall (with 20,000), Temple (with in-state tution), and Villanova (with nothing). I've been waitlisted from Brooklyn and Rutgers-Camden, and I am waiting to hear from Fordham's part-time program.

I want to work somewhere in Morris/Essex County, so Rutgers-Newark or Seton Hall seems to be the best investment.

I got no love money-wise from Rutgers-Newark. Complete bs. Only loans. I had a 3.27/161. People got money with similar numbers to me.

Yeah, same here (PT class of 2013). I've been waffling A LOT between Rutgers-N and Seton Hall, but I think I've finally decided on Rutgers.

I had the same R-N v. Seton Hall debate, but the cost of tuition difference was just too much for similar job prospects. And if anything, Rutgers might have the better prospects.

I agree. R-N most probably has a larger/more influential alumni network in NJ, and has better placement in NYC. Apparently it does quite well placing students in NYC biglaw considering its rank. (Seton Hall is very good for health law though, so people who may go into that might weigh Seton Hall more heavily in their decision-making process.)

By the way, are any of you planning to join the Rutgers Law Class of 2012 facebook group? This is kind of silly, but I'm wary of joining it because it only consists of two people, and the guy who started it wrote on the wall that he has yet to be accepted. Plus maybe it should recognize the part-time student class of 2013 as well? :D

After I got some merit scholarship money covering basically 30% of my in-state tuition, I am heavily considering Rutgers. I want to see where I get into my 11 other schools, but I def would choose Rutgers over my other safeties (e.g. St. John's, Seton Hall) and schools in a slightly higher range (e.g. American, Wake Forest, Brooklyn, Cardozo). If I don't get into a top 30 school (which is a reach for me), in all likelihood I will be at Rutgers this Fall. What are people doing for housing?

I'll be there on the 27th. Haven't decided on Rutgers yet, but the 27th will go a long way towards helping make that decision.
