Visiting both of them from March 6-8th.... I would put my odds of being at one of these two around 50%

I very well might be there this fall, but am 90% sure I will not be at BC. Change the name of this thread and I'm outta here! No but really, I'm strongly considering BU at this point. Just really wish I had a little more money from them, it would make the decision a lot easier.mrxismyhro wrote:thats a good idea. i wish there was a way to change the title of the thread.theskippa10 wrote:Same. yea, i didnt even apply to BC(b/c they wanted to make me write a "why BC" PS instead of my generic [enter name of school here] letter)srb wrote:I very well might be there this fall, but am 90% sure I will not be at BC. +1. Got my scholly yesterday and a bit disappointed. It's looking like it'll be a wash pricewise between BU and WC publics.srb wrote:mrxismyhro wrote: Just really wish I had a little more money from them, it would make the decision a lot easier.
But I fucking love BU, so not a bad day overall.

I'm in! Just got an email. It was a long wait, but all's well that ends well.
Now if only the remaining 9 schools would follow BU's lead and get back to me.

Looks like BU for me too. Also waiting on Emory's scholly offer. If Emory hands out the same kinda $$$ as last year, then I probably will go there. Either that or BU will up their scholly offer when I pit them with Emory? I will take BU without question if the'd give me a bit more ($5K more a year). I doubt they will, though.

Re: Boston University Class of 2012
I tried using my scholarship offer from Texas to get a little bit more out of BU, and it was a no go. So, I'm thinking Emory might not do the trick.TopCat wrote:Looks like BU for me too. btw, why BU over Texas srb? Especially since you have a scholly from Texas (and, therefore, in-state too)?

Lots of reasons, mostly I'm sick of living in TX, and was kind of disillusioned with UT after finishing my UG there. As a whole, I felt like the institution really didn't care about quality of teaching, which is the opposite of what I've heard about BU Law.TopCat wrote:That's what I thought. Fair enough. I will probably see you in Boston then. (btw, I am in Texas too. Not in Austin, though).srb wrote:Lots of reasons, mostly I'm sick of living in TX, and was kind of disillusioned with UT after finishing my UG there. Sounds like there are quite a few of us trying to decide between BC and BU. I'm not sure how to approach this (and am really hoping that one of them decides to throw some cash at me to make the choice easier).theskippa10 wrote:Same. We should make it BC/BU 2012 for the time being
Which way are you leaning?

I'm wondering the same thing, I just got my acceptance package yesterday. I can't say that I'm ready to lay down that seat deposit on April 15th without some sort of $$.

Me too! How long do we have until scholly's offers are unlikely?CaptainSnuggleBunny wrote:djh wrote:Anybody here about scholarships yet?

Re: Boston University Class of 2012
Are you talking about BC or BU? For BC, scholarship offers are supposed to come out this week. For BU, I received my scholarship offer about 3 weeks after my acceptance (way back in Nov/Dec), and had to tell them whether or not I intended to accept it by February 1.AP33 wrote:Me too!
