I think we already covered this Orange, the Letterman House. If I'm not mistaken, and I probably am, the York is around the block. I'm sure there are more of us in that area. The location is prime, albeit pricey.

I mentioned the place I passed up, etc. etc. My memory's starting to slip, evidently.

I'll be around after August 11-12-- the place I found is around N and 22nd. And yes, it's not what I'd hoped to pay, but I'm going from living in almost 1,400 sqft to almost 400 sqft!

And Fin...definitely not. I can't believe so many people are paying that much to stay there, though.

Count me in as one of those people getting gouged by the Aston. Yeah, its exorbitant- highway robbery even, but my schedule the past semester made it such that apartment shopping would have been pretty tricky. I put myself on the list and ended up taking the offer in the end since I didn't have anything else lined up Oh well - good location and furnished certainly helps out.MrOrange wrote: And Fin...definitely not. Out of curiosity what is rent at the Aston? I think I'm getting pretty gouged as well, although I have a slightly bigger place, kitchen, and better proximity to school. Simmer, care to disclose?

So basically, $1866 a month - OUCH

Yeah, I have a feeling this might be somewhat constructive with what we are about to get into.MrOrange wrote:The bourbon diet. Skews your sense of reality while you trim down. ftw.simmersiz wrote:Haha exactly the opposite! Gotta drink my sorrows away!

Based on some of his opinions, I'm sure Cardozo hit the bottle pretty hard. Why not us?simmersiz wrote:Yeah, I have a feeling this might be somewhat constructive with what we are about to get into.

Heh. I'm out in Woodbridge (~35 minutes from DC by train). I'll be rocking the VRE and metro into school every day.
ETA: does it have to be the bourbon diet? I'm more of a hefeweissen girl myself. Or pinot noir. Or pomegranate martinis. Much tastier, I think.

You like hefeweissen? Points for you (I'm going to ignore the martini-whatever).Paichka wrote:Heh. I'm out in Woodbridge (~35 minutes from DC by train). I'll be rocking the VRE and metro into school every day.

I don't think any of us have to stick to bourbon...that's just probably what I'm going to run with.

Now that we're all done drooling at the mouth over alcohol...Has anyone sent in the Immunization form? Did you just take it to your doc so he could check off the list?

I'm old, though (26), so I don't have to send in the form.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
