Nesker's summer in London...

you should see the other side of the board
You should also see the shit he actually writes in his books.

now i'm serious about needing to photocopy people's books. :?
Panda, you can copy mine, we're in the same section too so that makes things easier.
Once you get into Ithaca (Wednesday?) just let me know when to meet you at the library.

Edit: As of right now I have all the case books and some of the other ones, I'm hoping to get up to the bookstore tomorrow or Thursday to buy the rest.

Anyone who is in Ithaca and wants to sail tomorrow at noon, get ahold of me. We've already got three (including myself), but the company would definitely be welcomed! PM me.

Did anyone else get an e-mail from a 2L mentor? I got an e-mail about it but the e-mail didn't come from a cornell e-mail address and I can't find the person on facebook, so I'm a little wary.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just found stuff about the person on cornell law-related websites. Yay for internet paranoia!

We sail on Cayuga lake. You should come out this weekend if I go! I'm section D as well. Join the fb group titled 'Cornell Law 2012 - Section D' (you have to be in the Cornell network to join/see it).

"For the first class, on Monday, August 31, please read pages 1-12 of Summers and Hillman, Contract and Related Obligation (5th ed. 2006)."

^ straight from the email from Hillman.

I was the unfortunate scared 1L to be called on the first day of class in Contracts with Hillman. Know the elements of a contract--he will ask the first cold-call this.

We just made it to Ithaca on Monday night, and within an hour somebody broke into our Jeep and stole a backpack and pillow! So much for welcome wagon... Thankfully they only got dirty laundry and a busted backpack.

I'm chalking it up to a fluke, though. We still really love the town and the apartment. I only wish there was more time to see it all before classes start!

Ben- There's a barber shop on the Commons below Simeon's, called Cornell Barber Shop. It's been in business for over 100 years and charges $12 for a basic man's haircut. I'll probably go there on Tuesday and can report back if you haven't made it yet.

Panda- Please add me to section B, thanks!

Does anybody know if there's a decent place to get pho?

So I was originally sad that section C doesn't have a Facebook group for this year like the rest of the sections do. And then I saw the one from last year with all of 15 wall posts and I decided that it was probably for the better.

You shouldn't be sad, just be jealous that section D is going to be the place to be.

Actually, in all honesty, you have at least a few great folks in your section. I chilled with some yesterday.

At CTB! (no internet at home yet!) To all the people who mentioned their section, I'll update on Friday when I get internet. :D

So, who's up for some pre-orientation disorientation this weekend?!

ETA: Silly me, I don't have internet to plan something .. someone let me know if anyone plans anything! I'll try to check in again..

Anyone interested in carpooling to the law school? I'm living below the hill and would be willing to pitch in for gas and maintenance. PM if interested. Thanks!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
