Re: Yale Law School Class of 2012
I called accessgroup regarding the site's inability to accept my references. He put them in for me, after which it worked just fine and I signed with my online PIN.bgc wrote:Did it clear up after action on your part?heyguys wrote:Actually, I signed my MPN a couple of days ago (I had a similar problem regarding the references, but it cleared up), but I still haven't done the entrance interview.
Where do we do the entrance interview? Unless I'm mistaken, I don't believe Yale's name was on the list for entrance/exit interviews on accessgroup's online site.

It's in the financial aid section of the Student Information System: http://www.yale.edu/sis/heyguys wrote:Where do we do the entrance interview? Unless I'm mistaken, I don't believe Yale's name was on the list for entrance/exit interviews on accessgroup's online site.

On my Yale SIS thing, it says that all I haven't turned in yet are my MPNs; that said, I signed them online with my lender as I mentioned earlier. Is this normal at this point (i.e. do you other fellas have that as still not having been turned in?)?

I filled out all the online MPNs from my lender. The SIS says that it has not received my MPNs.heyguys wrote:On my Yale SIS thing, it says that all I haven't turned in yet are my MPNs; that said, I signed them online with my lender as I mentioned earlier. I think this is normal.

So, what are you guys' plans for furniture? I would love to avoid IKEA and such, but no matter how I slice it I just don't have the means by which I could transport something I would buy off craig's list, as I won't have a vehicle.

perhaps a dumb question: does anyone know whether you're allowed to get criedit for externships at yale--aside from the prosecutor one? also, how much credit do you get for the legal services clinic?

Has anyone researched or purchased any of the recommended laptops through Yale? I need to buy a new one and was considering a Macbook, but the closest Apple store is an hour outside of New Haven. I'm not a huge fan of Dell's customer service, but the on-site support is a nice perk. Any advice?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'm definitely getting at least one new mac for school, either a new macbook pro, a macbook air, or both. Not having an Apple store in New Haven is unfortunate, but it will not deter me. Macs do break down, of course, but likely not as frequently as Dells. As far as I'm concerned, the only real downside to the MAC is that it you could get a PC with similar specs for a few hundred dollars cheaper. After all, if you decide you really prefer Windows 7 or something, you can always just run windows on your mac all of the time.randomapplicant wrote:Has anyone researched or purchased any of the recommended laptops through Yale? I'm doing one, though the PhD isn't at Yale (thus the YLS deferral). PM if you've got questions about logistics, etc.heyguys wrote:Anyone else thinking about doing a joint degree? Is anyone around town these days? I'm moving down on thursday. I won't be around for long, but I wouldn't mind meeting a classmate to observe the event.
