exactly what is Direct Deposit?
What is the purpose of it? it says that we have to register by the 15th? I don't understand.

Pretty sure it's so your financial aid that is in excess of tuition payments (stuff for living expenses, books, etc) will directly deposit into your bank account. This ensures you get your money asap rather than waiting for a check to be made and mailed to you.

speaking of direct deposit...are any of you opening a new bank in ohio? i have bank of america and didn't know they don't really exist in columbus...plus the whole residency thing...any bank recommendations?

Ya, it was just replying that you were still planning on attending in the fall. I did that but still can't sign up for direct deposit. Argh.

First you have to verify enrollment, but then you have to wait for the registrar to schedule your classes before you can sign up for direct deposit. They'll e-mail you when you're signed up and they'll include some info about direct deposit at the time.

Has anyone gotten their assignments yet?

Just called to ask about this. They said with the migration to the new Student Information System they're working through some issues and to not worry about the July 15 date.

I happened to stumble across my schedule for the fall today. I believe they said it would be tentative and our final official schedule would be released on the 31st. Did anyone else find this today?

where did you find it? I've been waiting for them to email it so I could get the direct deposit thing set up

yea i saw mine yesterday but still no go on setting up direct deposit.
