Harvard Class of 2012
...can't believe I just wrote that.
Too early to definitively say where I'll be going to school, but with the first TS2s going out today, a HLS '12 thread was needed.
Anyone know for sure they'll be in Cambridge next year?
Anyone else still taking a wait and see approach? If so, what scenarios could sway you from HLS?

Re: Harvard Class of 2012
I'm waiting and seeing.
If I get into Yale I'd like to see if I can squeeze SOME money out of either one and go to the one that gives me the most. *hope* haha, but at this point I'm just happy to be in at Harvard!
I'll be visiting first week of december (pre-planned trip that happens to be very convenient); who knows, maybe I'll fall in love with the school

I'm not going to decide until all my schools have made their decisions and all the cards are out on the table.
That being said, it would take a lot to persuade me to turn down Harvard...
Congrats to everyone!!!

Re: Harvard Class of 2012
I'm almost certainly going to Harvard now that I've been admitted. Yale or Stanford would be an extremely long shot for me, and I kind of like bigger schools so I'm pretty sure I'd choose Harvard over either of those. Plus, Harvard's name brand is better.
The only thing that might persuade me away is a full scholly at Texas because I'm comfortable there (I'm there for my undergrad). But, I don't think that's going to happen, and besides that's a really lame reason to turn down Harvard (because I'm comfortable here...). But, Esc, I can see where you're coming from if you're pretty convinced about your career goals. Either option is really great for you at this point, obviously. Good luck on making a very hard decision...

No. However, it makes me feel better that someone besides me is impatient enough to admit that they tried!Objection wrote:Anyone guess the username/pass for the admitted students site yet?

I'll be waiting by the mailbox for the next few days! In my message he only said soon, so to me that warrants the obsessive behaviorKrswmact wrote:Im definitly in the lack of motivation club...and the group of those who are overly anxious to get Harvard materials.

Re: Harvard Class of 2012
My guess the binders will be assembled next week and mailed out early the week later. It seems like last year they came out at the end of the first week of Dec and, b/c Thanksgiving's later in the month, I'd add a week to that.
However, thinking about it, I thought there was no hope any of us would get called Tuesday so I'm prob not the best person to be giving my opinion.
I'll shut up now...

I'm in! I can't imagine not ending up there, but I'm keeping my options open as well. At least until financial aid gets straightened out...

I am not going to pry because I know there are personal things involved, but I made this exact same basic decision last year. If you want to know why I ended up choosing HLS and what I think of my decision, please shoot me a message with your specific questions, issues, and concerns about HLS.Esc wrote:I've been admitted, but only a 1-2% chance of me going, as I have a full scholarship to UT, I want to pursue public interest in Texas, and for personal reasons.
