Already done, EXCEPT PS. ughhh I just can't get it right. But as soon as I finish it up, which I'm hoping to do by the end of this week/this weekend, out they all go!

Re: Somewhere Class of 2012
I finished and sent everything by last week and now it's just the waiting game. I've gone complete for more than half of my schools. I can't wait until August. By then I'll know where I'm going, I'll be looking for a place to live and just be excited to start law school. Right now, the nervous and worried excitement is getting to me.

Re: Somewhere Class of 2012
I've submitted 10 apps, but they're not complete because my second recommender is currently holding them hostage with his utter inability to respect deadlines.

I'm complete at all but 1 of the schools I applied to but no decisions yet. Hopefully I'll hear something soon!

Re: Somewhere Class of 2012
All I need to do is get my Why Penn essay done and get my Dean Cert for Cornell. All other applications are out and my last letter of recommendation was processed today. Hopefully I hear a few decisions by Christmas.

Submitted Monday, so mine will likely be complete by next week sometime. Hopefully I'll know by New Years.

Re: Somewhere Class of 2012
I submitted my 13th and final application yesterday (I hope this isn't unlucky ) It's so weird to have everything out of my hands and just play this waiting game. I think I'll feel a lot better when (hopefully when and not if) I receive my first acceptance letter because at least then it will be official...I'M GOING TO LAW SCHOOL.

Hypothetically assuming you get all 4 of these which would you pick.69sofine wrote:SoftBoiledLife wrote:Come on Vandy/UCLA/TX/USC......
I'd say for me it'd go UCLA, tie between Vandy and TX (I'd probably visit both and pick), then USC.

Yeah, that's probably how I'd go too. I currently live in SoCal, but a move might be fun. UCLA, then Vandy and UT really are a pick 'em. USC a little behind the others.SoftBoiledLife wrote:Hypothetically assuming you get all 4 of these which would you pick.69sofine wrote:SoftBoiledLife wrote:Come on Vandy/UCLA/TX/USC......

Dollars to donuts you end up at Boalt.amyLAchemist wrote:It's looking likely that I'll have to stay in CA, so unless Berkeley or Stanford shows me some love, i'll be at UCLA. You're gonna have a killer cycle. Don't sweat it, I'm sure Stanford or Berkeley will come through. Still, UCLA and $$ is a great fall back.amyLAchemist wrote:It's looking likely that I'll have to stay in CA, so unless Berkeley or Stanford shows me some love, i'll be at UCLA. Well since I'll likely be waitlisted there if not rejected outright, if you could just call them and say your slot is specifically reserved for someone you know on the internets, that would be faaaaaaantastic. Enjoy Berkeley though, it's an awesome place.amyLAchemist wrote:Yeah, so true, and I feel like a jerk for thinking it's a fall back.69sofine wrote: UCLA and $$ is a great fall back.

Amy, I feel very confident that you'll end up at Stanford or Berkeley - which is perfect for the type of law you want to practice, too, if I'm not mistaken.
I am still waiting on transcripts and LORs *arriving* at LSAC, so I might not get my stuff out till December.

Re: Somewhere Class of 2012
I'm pretty annoyed right now.
I decided to throw out one more application and for their optional essay I just banged out a totally badass essay, it's really good. I hate that because I could have totally tweaked this essay to fit some of my reach schools and I think it would have been better than what I sent.
boo. I hate when this happens. At least this school is also a reach, but still. blah.

as of the 11th all 17 of my apps are sent and I'm complete at 4. However, UMD and UWash are taking their sweet ass time with requesting a report... I would like at least one acceptance by x-mas

Put me down for Somewhere 2012!!!
All my apps are in... unless I decide to apply to Chicago after all. Still debating that one.

7 of 10 in.
I'm just picking and choosing which fee waivers schools I like now.
Ironically enough I cant apply to my 2 state schools until i get back from England. Who cares if I got a speeding ticket?!
