ED to UPenn?

Post by zybhlyz » Wed Jul 10, 2019 3:16 pm

My number is 3.3/170. I am a biology major and I am doing agriculture research abroad after graduation . I have a patent.

I really like UPenn, does ED increase my chance to get to UPenn?

Any other suggestions on application?

ED only increases your chances of not getting a scholarship. And there is no reason to focus exclusively on Penn. You're a splitter and should be applying broadly across the T13 to maximize your chances and potential scholarship offers.

ED is almost always foolish, but it actually does seem to help reverse-splitters at Penn judging from LSN data. It might be how they decide among the 3.95/164s they pad out their GPA median with. The effect is much weaker for splitters, though, and OP definitely should be casting a wide net.
