Re: LSAC GPA
Technically yes, but if you didn't bring your LSAT up since your last posts on that subject, please retake and sit out a cycle. You're wasting a golden GPA.

Re: LSAC GPA
Thank you for your reply. No I didn't feel ready to retake in March, and I don't want to make the same mistake of taking it 3 times back-to-back without adequate preparation. I also got waitlisted to 5 others schools in T14 and admitted to a T20 since my last post. I'm kind of confused on whether I need to study or accept the offer from the T20 school. Cycle seems very tough this year, so I'm not going to bother putting much thought into my waitlists..

You need to study. Law school isn't going anywhere.Lawgirl96 wrote:I'm kind of confused on whether I need to study or accept the offer from the T20 school.

Yes this. The fact that you were WL'd at 4 T14s shows that you're on the cusp of getting in with only a few extra points on the LSAT.cavalier1138 wrote:You need to study. Re: LSAC GPA
The cycle was not tough, you had a sub-160 LSAT. You should absolutely retake. I also had a sub-160 LAST, but I retook and improved by double digits and was accepted to 7 of the t14 and ultimately attended one at a 6 figure discount. You would be doing yourself a disservice not to improve your circumstances

Re: LSAC GPA
The above may be difficult for OP to swallow, but it's the plain truth. A sub-160 LSAT is a killer, even when paired with a perfect GPA. OP's results would look dramatically different if she was able to get a 165+. I refuse to believe someone capable of earning a ~4.0 GPA is incapable of squeezing a few extra points out of the LSAT.Wubbles wrote:The cycle was not tough, you had a sub-160 LSAT. Of course, not every applicant can get a 170+ on the LSAT. But for OP, a 165 at least should be eminently achievable with proper preparation, and would give her markedly different results than a sub-160 score. OP's really in the catbird seat here; given her enviable GPA, she could be a lock for Harvard and down if she does well enough on the LSAT. Many applicants will never be in that position no matter how high they score on the LSAT, due to their GPA holding them back.
