Question about applying with GRE score

Post by lawschoolhopeful20 » Wed Jan 16, 2019 2:20 pm

I'm just curious about the current guidelines for GRE applicants as opposed to the LSAT. Must you have either 1) come from the same undergrad institution and/or 2) be applying to a dual degree program? Have the guidelines changed since schools first started accepting the test?

It depends on the school, but most schools that take the GRE accept it from any applicant (regardless of which college they attended or whether they're applying to a joint degree program).

That said, taking the LSAT is still an applicant's best bet, because the schools that accept the GRE remain a minority and it is still unclear how GRE scores are treated by adcoms.
