Should I send out my applications if my CAS isn't "complete"?

Post by lawschoolhopeful440 » Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:27 am

So my CAS Report isn't complete yet since the people working on processing my undergrad transcript will not be back in their office until school starts back up in January. I am trying to get my apps out as soon as possible so I can just be done with the whole process lol. My main question is that if I send my applications out now, will the law schools be notified when my new transcript gets put into the report? My transcript not including this most recent semester is in the system right now, and since my new transcript hasn't been processed through my school yet, it says that my CAS is complete even though it isn't. If it won't mess up my applications, I would like to send them out in the next day or two since I don't really want to wait any longer for my new transcript to be processed. Would I be able to do this? Or would it be a smarter idea to just wait for the transcripts to be processed in a few weeks? Thank you all so much for the advice, I really appreciate it.

Your application won't be considered complete until the CAS report is finalized. So if you submit now, schools won't review your apps at all until those transcripts are processed.

So would this be a bad idea? Or is it fine?

It doesn't matter, because your apps will be seen at the same time, regardless.
