Which LOR's to send?

Post by si95 » Mon Sep 10, 2018 9:56 pm

So right now I have three letters of recommendation: 2 from professors and 1 from my internship supervisor (who is also a partner at the law firm I interned at). My question is even though most law schools prefer that my letters of recommendation be from professors if possible, do you guys think a letter from my internship supervisor should be one of the letters of rec I send in? Obviously this only applies to the schools that only accept up to 2 letters. I thought that they don't want work letters of rec just because the work site might not be law related, but since mine was does that make any difference? I visited IU Maurer and they said to do a mix, but not sure about the other schools.

What do you guys think?

Look at what each school says about what types of letters they want. If they specifically say they want academic letters, give them those. If they say otherwise, then follow their instructions.
