Practice Test Scores

Post by Hoosier19 » Sat Aug 25, 2018 10:33 pm

I've been using Khan Academy to study for the LSAT. I've taken a bunch of practice tests and it has automatically calculated my scores, which I assumed were correct. However, on my most recent test there was some technical issue where it counted all my answers as incorrect so I had to score it myself. I missed 13 out of 101 questions and according to 7Sage that would be about a 168 to 169 based on the most recent 25 prep tests. The highest score I've gotten so far on one of my Khan Academy practice tests was a 168 so I looked at how many I got wrong on that one. I missed 11 for a raw score of 90. According to 7Sage that'd be about 169-171. Am I calculating these scores right/where is Khan Academy getting these numbers?

13 sounds like 167/168 range based off the past couple years

typically -10 or -11 is a 170; in the past (more than 10 years ago or so) you could miss around 14 for a 170, but they must have altered the difficulty of the questions somewhat since then

Do they not tell you what PT you're taking?

Each PT has its own scoring chart for raw/scaled conversion.

Thanks for the replies! No, they don't say what test you took. They fixed the issue and the score ended up being a 170.
