When should I apply?

Post by rs111 » Tue Jul 31, 2018 6:44 pm

I’m not sure when I should have my applications in by in order to have the best chances of admission and in order to get a good financial offer. An advisor told me that as long as I have them in by thanksgiving I should be OK, but I think that may be a little too late especially for reach schools. The advisor gave me the impression that if I send it in by September (around the time when applications open), it would not get looked at for a bit. Does anyone know approximately when they begin reviewing applications? I want mine to be among the first.

No reason to apply later than the first date they start accepting applications if everything is ready to go. Perhaps they won't look at them right away, but it's best to be early in the pile.
