Does UGPA matter after a few years of experience?

I want to be a patent lawyer so that is why I decide not to go for K-JD. However, will those Tier 1 school care about my Ugpa still? Mine is not ideal and I am a little bit anxious.

Of course they still care. They care if you have been out for 50 years. Why? Because regardless of how long since your undergrad, they still have to report that GPA for the ABA and USNEWS. So yeah, they care. They care a lot. Law school admissions is 50% lsat, 40% GPA, 10% URM/work experience, but if you aren't an URM, its a 50/50 split. Work experience helps in the margins because if a law school has the option of a person just graduating from college with the identical stats to someone who has been working for 5 years, the latter has a better chance. But thats if your stats are already there.
