Undergrad Transfer Dilemma

Post by mjames21 » Tue Apr 17, 2018 6:37 pm

Hello,

Everyone I’m currently a freshman at a top 30 university studying Spanish and Linguistics. I’m currently unhappy with my environment/aid package and was planning on transferring to another University.

I received the aid packages back from the other universities and they are the same as my current one, so at this point cost doesn’t matter. Now I’m facing the dilemma of still transfering.

The reason I am concerned and posting on this forum is because I plan on attending law school. I am worried about what negative impact attending a lower tier state university might have on my application. Regardless of where I go I’m sure I’ll be fine gradewise.

I am truly torn between staying at a great school academically but not enjoying the small environment and going to a school where I might be happy but academically they aren’t as strong.
