Law School Prep Course?

Post by Sarah13TK » Wed Mar 28, 2018 11:40 pm

Has anyone taken a law school prep course? I know I can't learn the materials in advance, but I found this one [www.peaklawschoolprep.com] online and it looks interesting. I think learning some strategies could really help me. Thoughts?

I wouldn't pay for any training that isn't delivered by the law school you're going to attend. Just my personal opinion.

That is super expensive and they didn't provide any information such as who the teachers are and a detailed schedule. Seems like you to have reach out to get that detail information. I am looking into some programs as well. I think you first need to decide what you're looking for. Is it skilled based, looking for some content or issue spotting.

Here are some of the programs I have come across. I am going to narrow down my decision this week.

Complete and utter waste of money. If you were to give me half the money you plan on spending in exchange for a kick in the groin, you'd still be better off than attending one of these prep courses. Law school is not some mystery and there is no magic exam-taking strategy. Save the money for more important needs.

Any empirical evidence than any of these do provide value to anyone but the company? The only surprising aspect of any of these is that none are named "Trump Law Prep."

What a great idea to prey on the insecurities and anxieties of incoming 1Ls. Guaranteed moneymaker. I'm thinking of starting a "law water" company. Bottled water with probiotics and unnamed "nutrients" to enhance your law study skills. Not to mention a line of law energy bars.

Echoing others here, but save your money. You'll need it for other stuff while you are (strongly encouraged) not making any money during 1L. If you have to do something to feel better, buy Getting to Maybe and read it. Other than that don't waste your time/money.
